Creating her own path as a music producer, singer, songwriter, DJ, and otherwise entertainment powerhouse, Destenee McKenzie was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts and moved at the young age of 14 to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the music industry.  She has been been expanding her discography in between performing at some of the hottest clubs and events across the country.  After scoring a #2 spot on the Billboard dance single sales charts and a #6 spot on the hot 100 sales charts for her electro-house single “Illuminate”, Destenee became the first female to single handedly write, produce, sing, mix and master a song that broke into the top 10 on the sales charts. ​

​Imagine a musical genius who does it all... capable of fiercely rocking it out on a guitar or romancing the keys of a piano while electrifying you with a magnificent voice.
Destenee is and always has been first and foremost, a musician. Latching on to the piano to channel her muse since the age of four, the young prodigy obsessed in the works of the classical legends Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and modern day George Winston.
Considering her upbringing, its not surprising that Destenee writes, records, performs, and markets herself using only the second half of her first name, is not a faint at heart. Teaching herself to play several other instruments, then music production, add to that a music engineering degree at the age of 17. The 21 year old all around musical powerhouse not only writes and composes all her music, but she records and makes all the arrangements singing all the backgrounds and playing all the instruments on the tracks. A true musician and a perfectionist, Destenee spends most of her time in the studio creating, then on the stage teaching the musicians all their parts with the innate expertise of a seasoned musical director. The rest of her time she is rehearsing with her dancers perfecting her energetic performances. Destenee, a multi-cultural force of musical nature with a unique sound she's created by mixing live piano, bass and electric guitar with electronic-dance-dubstep synths and the magic of her soulful voice, bring a commercial and mainstream vibe with an enticingly international coloring.

Having already hosted her own nationally syndicated radio show, “Destenee’s EDM Hour of Power”, she has amassed a fan base that only continues to grow and follow her with every performance.  Taking her reputation to new heights, Destenee has collaborated with some of the industries biggest artists spreading her unique sound across the world.  Not only a talented singer and producer, Destenee has expanded her performance skills to DJing and has performed her heart-pumping sets at numerous music festivals across the country and at some of southern California’s hottest clubs.  Destenee has even carved her own world recognition as the founder and CEO of Dov Serrot Productions, the production company behind the massive 3-day music festival, DOV FEST.
